Spring Break

We had a great Spring Break.

We had fun at Classic Fun Center bouncing with cousins Brynlee and Beckham. Cora cried if I got her anywhere near the bounce houses. She is funny because sometimes she loves stuff and other times it freaks her out. She was tired so maybe that was why she didn't want to play.
Vela, Josh and Brynlee coming down the slide.
Brynlee and Beckam showing a little love.

Vela and Brynlee again.
We went to Trafalga with some friends
Brooklyn and Vela on the airplane ride.
Jaxten, Hema and Brooklyn
Hema took a day off work and we went back to Trafalga as a family.
Cora has been dying to ride the Frog Hopper. We finally let her and she didn't like it much.
These 2 could ride it all day long. They go over and over 10-20 times in a row!
Dancing was a little more Cora's style.
The carousel.
Cora ready for a nap. I have pictures of all my kids resting on dad's head.
Adorable!!
We had a late movie night at our house. The kids each invited a couple friends over for treats and a couple movies. They had so much fun. Hema asked if we can do it every Friday.
Hema, Conner, Jaxten, Brooklyn, Vela and Breelyn.
Getting tired, but not falling asleep.
We went fishing to Utah Lake State Park and over to Highland Glen park. Little Hema was excited to catch a fish. He loves to eat what he catches. We took the rest of this big bucket of cheese balls which my kids hated and the kids tried to feed them to the ducks, even the ducks didn't want them. They threw half the bucket in anyway.

Went with to Neptune Park with the Palepales. We had a picnic and the kids played. Once again blurry photos!
Vela twirling.
Hema climbing.
We also went to the Monte L Bean Museum, set up the tent and tried to sleep out in the yard (but came in during the night because it was too cold), did lots of spring clean up in the yard, played for hours in the neighborhood, Vela and Daddy had a daddy daughter date, Me and Daddy had a dinner and movie date, we went to Thanksgiving Point gardens and lots of other fun stuff.
I am so sad that tomorrow everyone goes back to regular schedules. I can not wait for summer!!

Sleeping at the Farm

A couple of weeks ago my brother Josh and his family came to visit from California. They are getting ready to move to New Hampshire for Josh to get his MBA. We are excited for them, but sad that they are moving even farther away for a while. We went down and stayed over at my parents while they were there to spend more time with them.
Josh making a big fire just for fun!
Getting smokey and hanging out under the stars.
Brynlee on Great Grandpa Hawkins saddle horse.
We all loved to sit on this and take pictures growing up.
Dad and Josh both played the guitar and sang for us.
Saturday Hema got up early to find something to shoot.
He hunted all over for something to blast with his BB gun.
Then finally settle for some plastic bottles Grandma had.
The kids love the swing.
Hema playing on the swing.
Saturday morning conference breakfast.
Everyone digging in.
My mom's griddle cakes! The best ever!
Then we gathered and watched conference.

Laura and Josh - it was so fun having them in town!
We are so grateful for our family and love spending time with them!

Easter Fun

We had a fun Easter season. Filled with many egg hunts, lots of family and learning of Jesus Christ.

Between the conference sessions on Saturday we had an egg hunt with the Hawkins cousins who were in town. Next time I won't face all the kids right towards the sun for a picture.
Hema, Cora, Brynlee, Beckam, Vela, Halle and Hunter
Hema getting a lift from dad to get an egg that was up high.
Vela gathering all the yellow eggs. Her favorite color.
Beckam showing his egg off.
Cora a little hesitant to touch the plant in order to get the egg.
Then on Monday our neighborhood always does fun egg hunts and a get together for all the families. We really love our neighbors and are so grateful our kids have such good friends close by. It was a really windy evening but the kids had fun. Unfortunately both of my cameras were having issues so I only got 2 pictures.
Hema, Cora and Vela ready to go!
Cora after she emptied her treats into her basket.
On Saturday before Easter we had all the Katoa Family over to eat, have FHE, celebrate Lote's birthday and of course hunt eggs. They always bring so many eggs we have to lay them about every few inches on the lawn to have a place for them all.
The youngest kids got a head start.
Aunt Taiena sending the next group out.
Cora showing off her goodies!
My camera keep doing these annoying blurry pictures indoors. I really need to get it in to get fixed this week!
Aunt Lote blowing out her candle. She is the best auntie!!
Sunday morning the Easter Bunny skipped bringing any candy because these kids had already gotten way too much. But they did get bubbles and a few toys for outside which they are loving!
Another blurry photo! Ughhh!
This was such a cute shot in real life. Easter Sunday right before church. Rarely do all three smile at the same time and want their pictures taken. By the way, the indoor pictures didn't look blurry on the little screen on the camera so it was only afterwards that I found out they all were junky! Booo!
If you squint just right you can just make out their cuteness!
My mom is back east visiting Jake and Jessica and their families for a few weeks, so my Daddy got to come over for Easter dinner. Another blurry picture but still worth remembering.
Cora, Vela, Grandpa Hawkins and Hema.
