I left to come to California on Valentines Day. I haven't seen my sweet Little Hema in a week! I miss him soooo much!! Here he is saying goodbye at the airport in Salt Lake.

It's hard to tell in this photo, but Vela is strapped on and ready for her first trip. She did great at the airport and on the plane and smiled the entire way!

Here is Hema saying goodbye to Vela (and to me)!! He is such a trooper to send the two of us out here for 10 days.

Vela is getting bigger by the day and loving all the attention she is getting out here!

I wasn't sure if she could get away with her rainbow colored leggings in the Bay area! Especially if Jen and I were out running errands together with her. But she is so cute in them, I put them on her anyway!

We went to see Spiderwick Chronicles at a theater here in Alameda. It used to be a funeral home and had an odd collection of used couches and recliners. I had to get some photos.

I know it looks like the furniture section of DI, but it was remarkably clean and comfortable!

Here is a shot of Jen with her arm wrapped so that her PICC line won't get wet in the bath. She has to do a bunch of extra stuff to care for it, but is so positive through it all.

Here are my sweet babysitters. They have hugged, kissed, held, played with and loved on Vela every second she has been awake and some while she was trying to sleep. They have been so sweet, I thin she will miss them when we head home.

Eliza has been especially helpful and reminds me of how much I loved babies at her age too!

Jen has lost the majority of her hair in the past 2 days because of the chemo. Here she is sporting a green wig. Vela seemed to like it!

Since Jim has lost much of his own hair, he thought he'd take advantage of some of the hair Jen was losing. I'm not so sure this works for him!

Here is Jen in her cute new wig and Jim wearing the one she didn't like so much. Doesn't she look great!! She has faced this all with such courage and even a sense of humor (when she isn't throwing up)! She is such an example to me and I am so glad I got to spend time out here with her during this. I do however miss my 2 Hemas! I love you guys! See you Sunday!
