Today I took little Hema and my nephews Dallan and David to the lake for a little winter fishing. (Marilee & Brandon are in Arizona so their kids were staying with us.) We were ready to drill through some ice but the marina we went to wasn't iced over...so we fished the docks. 
The fishing was awesome! Dallan and David probably took between 30 or 40 between them and little Hema would have caught more if he didn't have those darned Cheetos there to distract him (all fish were released). Hema still managed to catch 8 or so before abandoning his pole. The boys kept me busy baiting hooks so I didn't even get my hook in the water. I don't mind, especially when the kids are having so much fun. We used night crawlers and wax worms for bait and by the end of trip the boys were experts at baiting their own hooks. We caught lots of big bluegills, several crappie, and Dallan managed to hook a largemouth bass. We had a great time and can't wait to get out again. Little Sarah made us promise to take her fishing next time. Dallan with one of several crappies he caught.

Dallan also landed a largemouth bass that uncle Hema dropped while unhooking it...which means no picture, sorry Dallan.
I think these 3 boys are hooked for life!

You guys are the best! You always go and do such fun things. I can't wait to see little Sterling out for a little winter fishing!
You know, if you take pictures of the fish, they can't make the fish bigger with every time they tell the story! Looks like they had a great time, and I'm glad you didn't have to clean them. :)
Thanks, the boys can't stop talking about it. David woke up this morning and said that he wanted to live at your house. I asked him why and he said that it is just sooo fun!! Thanks for everything.
That is so cool that you guys caught fish. I guess this would be the best time to go. Glad you guys had fun
