My Hawkins family will recognize my beloved donkeys! When I think of my Grandma Vela's house, I always remember these sweet donkeys that she got before my dad was born. I am so happy to have them now!!
I can't get enough of Vela swimming. Which works out well since we go 5 days a week! She LOVES her goggles. I love her belly!
Little Hema got invited to the neighbors princess dress up birthday party. His dad wasn't real happy about it. He wanted to go as Spiderman, but the birthday girl wasn't too happy about having a super hero crash her party. So we decided he wouldn't dress up. Five minutes before the party started he decided he really wanted to be a prince. I had some left over felt from a project and made a cape and belt - added a toy sword and he was ready to party. The next day he showed my hubby his painted fingernails (which I hadn't noticed or I certainly would have removed the pink polish!) and let's just say, that will be the last princess party he attends.
Here is some yummy shrimp curry I made on Sunday. I love to eat out for Indian or Thai food an almost always get some version of curry with coconut in it. I LOVE it! I have been working on a recipe that I like as much as at some of my favorite restaurants and I finally am there! I like it with chicken or shrimp. I made this one on Sunday. My boys LOVE shrimp and curry so it is a hit around here!

Becky- I LOVE your newly done room and I especially love your donkeys! I am always wishing that I had the presence of mind to go through Grandma and Grandpa's old house and taken pictures of the rooms and some individual things... like the shelves with plates and stuff on them. i wonder if anyone did, i miss seeing it all so much. also i would murder for a bowl of that curried shrimp over rice right now. :)
I LOVE how your room turned out! It looks amazing!
Vela couldn't be any cutter in her swimsuit!
Pass the recipe on already!!!!!
I can imagine the reaction to the pink polish, LOL! What great adventures...
Love the new bedroom! The donkeys are so cute. Send me the curry shrimp recipe please!
It looks like you have been busy with all your projects! That shrimp dish looks delicious. Your kids and family and are cute!
Oh Vela looks adorable in the swimming picture! And Prince Hema looks so charming..minus the pink nail polish right? haha Your family looks great and it sounds like you are staying very busy. I noticed you asked where Jonathan's family is from. I always forget! Jonathan had to finally tell me to think of a Saint Bernard so I can somehow remember that he is from...San Bernardo! Apparently it's right outside of Sao Paulo but I'm not all that familiar with Brazil. I'm sure after a few visits though I'll be a little more educated! I hope you're doing well! You and your family always look so happy. How wonderful!
