Each year we go and see Santa. This was the first year that Little Hema really was excited to see him and couldn't wait to request what he wants for Christmas. He wants Spike the dinosaur. Santa asked him what else he wanted and he said "Nothing Santa, I just want Spike the dinosaur!" Vela wasn't too excited to sit on Santa's lap. We tried to give her a candy cane to keep her happy and she just threw it on the ground. As you can see in the picture, she was fairly upset.
It is so fun having Hema be excited about the holidays. He put every decoration on our Christmas tree and when we got done asked where the star was to put on top. I don't know where he learned that, we've never had a star, but we went to Target and got one so he could finish the job.
Hema wanted to decorate another tree so we
let him decorate one for Vela's room and his room. They are little pink and blue tinsel trees we got last year. I can't wait to see how excited Hema will be at the festival of the trees this week!

Why is Santa so scarey?
I LOVE Vela's face! How fun that Hema is excited for the holidays. They sure grow up fast!!!
Thanks for the laugh- you gotta love those pics- poor kiddos, are probably thinking "WHO in the HECK is THAT!!!! Don't put my on his WHAAAAAA!?!?!?!"
Hi! Cute kids! I wish I made that Advent. But now that I've attempted making my own, buying one is SO WORTH THE MONEY! I got it at Pottery Barns Kids. Luckily I have a friend that works there and picked it up for me with her discount. :) I have loved it!
Oh poor Vela! She looks so darling though, even when she cries!
i just read something about that and Nancy is pretty much right on...Santa is a stranger and such...Anyway, if you haven't made it to the Festival of Trees yet...when you go, the NFL tree is the one my sister and her friend put together...don't know if this will mean anything, but they are on spot N-7. We are going Friday night to see it all. Then I get to play Bunko again, YAY!
