I have been promising to take little Hema ice fishing and I finally got my chance on a cold day that was partly cloudy and the ice was at least ten inches thick. Becky got little Hema all dressed up in his snow pants, boots, coat and mittens and off we went. Little Hema was so helpful and wanted to pull the sled by himself...for the first 5 yards. I drilled the holes and little Hema helped to put the WORMS on the hooks. After about 20 minutes with no action, little Hema wanted to play in the snow. He couldn't make a snowball with his mittens on, so he took them off while I wasn't looking...needless to say he got cold really quick and our little fishing excursion ended about an hour and a half after we left home. No fish...but I wouldn't trade this day for anything. p.s. sorry for the sideway video, I can't figure out how to turn it.

I love it! So dang cute! Father and son ice fishing is probably something most men dream about! You guys are adorable!
What a great thing to do with your son. Maddie like to go ice-fishing with her uncle. And I don't think you can turn videos ever-I've learned my lesson on that.
You will be telling this story many years from now. I have stories similar to this one but my son is grown and living in Alaska so he sends me stories about his fishing trips now.
