My Brave Little Boy!

Little Hema has been absolutely freaked out about getting his shots to go to kindergarten. I honestly don't even know who told him you gets shots before starting kindergarten, maybe a preschool friend - but he has be really worried for a few months. Pretty much every night before bed he would start asking if he had to get those shots the next day. He seemed really stressed out about it. Last week he asked if he could keep going to preschool every year so that he didn't have to get any shots. Poor kid - he was really worked up. He doesn't turn 5 until August and I couldn't bear to see him so worried for another 6 months. This morning I called the Dr and asked if I could just bring him in and get them done. Right after we left his dental appointment (to check out a tooth he chipped this week), we went straight to the Dr's office. He walked right in and never even questioned why we were there.... until the nurse called his name. He was honestly pretty brave. He cried just a little as he got the 4 shots, and then had the most relieved look on his face as the nurse explained that he was done with shots until Jr High. He isn't sure exactly what Jr High is, but he knows that he will have to be pretty big before then and that will be a very long time. He reassured me on the drive home that by the time he was that big, he wouldn't even care if her got a shot.
I don't know who is more relieved to be done with the shots, him or me. It was great to tuck my little guy into bed tonight and see him smile and go right to sleep. I sure do love that little boy!!

He is growing up so fast! Here he is tonight showing of his new PJ's.

Check out this blog.
I thought of you today when I saw these card table tents. They are so cute and I know you are always up for a sewing project. This one looked like one for you.

Looks like you are busy with kids growing up fast. Don't blink too long. :)
