Cora 2 Months Old

Our sweet little baby girl is 2 months old today!! The time has gone by too quickly. It seems like the time passes faster with each child that joins our family. Cora has been such a sweet addition to our family - I can not imagine life without her. Here are some favorites with Cora right now:

• She really chugs her bottles and usually eats 4 oz but sometimes cries for another 2 oz.
• She is finally getting lots of hair on the top of her head. She was born with lots in the back and on the sides but was pretty bald up top. 
• She loves to have you run your hand over her head from the back towards her forehead.
• She gets the hiccups worse and more frequently than either of her siblings ever did.  
• She is pretty stingy with her smiles but when she does smile at you it about melts your heart. They are quick and she wrinkles her nose and sort of giggles at the same time. So cute! Also so hard to catch on camera.
• She still loves to be bundled up tight at night and for naps.
• She is extremely patient with her older siblings who kiss her approximately 2,135,729 times each day.
• She still has the longest eyelashes that I have ever seen on a baby. Unbelievably beautiful just like her gorgeous birth mama's ! 
• Her eyes are still very blue - not hazel, not grey - blue! 
• She rarely cries and when she does she settles right down.
• She consistently sleeps 8 hours at night - sometimes more! What a dreamy baby - literally!
• She LOVES the water. She doesn't care if it is a shower or bath or even if water gets splashed on her face.
• She pretty much is just a perfect little slice of heaven!   

One of the things we have loved the most with Cora is being able to have such a close relationship with her wonderful birth families. It has been fun to see baby pictures of Krychele and Uziel and see how much she looks like them both. Her birth parents are incredible - wise beyond their years and so supportive and loving towards us. Their families have been nothing but loving towards us. Grandma Kim and Marty have taken our whole family in and just added us to theirs. We feel so comfortable with their family and are blessed to have them in our lives. It was wonderful to meet Uziel's family too and look forward to getting to know them better. I've said it a thousand times before - but we are so grateful to have open adoptions! 

Last Saturday, we were able to attend Krychele's family reunion. It was her mom's family. We met her grandmother, uncles and aunts, cousins and more. We spent the day swimming, visiting and eating (of course). Never for one minute were we made to feel uncomfortable. What an amazing family. Here are some pictures from the day:
