Cora's First Swim

Last Thursday Cora went swimming for the first time. We went up to Krychele's house - they have a pool and the water was nice and warm just for Cora!
We knew that Cora loves the water because she loves her baths so much. Here she is dipping her toes. She looks a little unsure at first!
But then she warmed right up and seemed to like it.
Krychele and Cora - two cuties in pink!
This was after about 30 minutes - she was done!
Even after swimming Cora was all smiles. I absolutely love this picture of Cora with her birth parents. To me this picture is exactly what open adoption is about! Krychele and Uziel get to continue to see Little Cora and know that she is happy and thriving. She will get to know how very much they love her. And we get to continue relationships with people we love and care for. I know that Cora will cherish this picture as she gets older. I just love it!
And finally, tonight we canned 14 quarts and 30 pints of applesauce! Yumm! A nice start to canning season!

That picture is so sweet. I think she will love it. Nothing is better than homeade applesauce.

I think that picture is priceless! Your experiences have certainly enhanced my perception of adoption in such a positive way. Your three children are so lucky to be part of your family.
And the canning season begins here, too. Salsa and relish so far. Good Luck.
