I thought I would post a few pictures of what we have been busy doing around our house. Here is a picture of our old carpet in our family room. Notice the nice tear down it.
Another picture - don't mind the chair, blocking Vela's escape.
Here is the new carpet. It feels so soft!! We love it. We also replaced the baseboards.
Here is what the windows looked like before.
Here is how they look after we replaced the window sills and added decorative casing around the windows.
I wish I had taken a picture of this wall before changing it. This was the only picture I could find. Can you see the carpet on the wall below the railing? It was pretty creepy! 
We still have some touch up trim to finish on the wall and will replace the baseboard on the right with the new one.

Our dishwasher was the problem causing the water in the kitchen. It had a crack in the back - don't ask me how that happens. So we did get a new dishwasher installed and it is great. I am not posting a picture of that.Lastly, we got the Halloween decorations up. Here are a couple pictures of decorations I have made.

Hooray for new carpet and new paint and trim and windows! It's so refreshing to touch up the home. I'm glad you finally got the changes you'd wanted.

I love the new carpet and baseboards! The room looks great. I'm glad the family room is put back together because josh and I are dying to do some guitar hero or rock band sometime soon!
