Easter and an Early Double Birthday Celebration!

Well, let me just start by reporting that my sweet little Vela has officially attended nursery for the first time! She didn't even cry! She seemed to really like playing in there with the other kids and her nursery leaders are wonderful! I peeked in and checked on her about 10 times and she was just hanging out or sitting on the floor in a circle for the singing time. She looked so grown up! It made me so sad to see my baby in a classroom without me. But I am glad that she was happy. It took Hema about 6 months to go to nursery without crying. Let's just hope next week goes as smoothly.
I tried to get a cute picture of the kids in their Easter outfits, but they all turned out like this...
Or this.
So here's Hema.
Vela actually kept her hat on a lot longer than I thought she would.
After church my dad and grandpa came over for lunch. I made a turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, jello, salad and fruit. (Isn't the apron my mom made for Vela cute!!) For dessert I made a chocolate chocolate chip bundt cake. Little Hema wanted to know who's birthday it was. I told him grandpa was turning 62 in about a week and great grandpa would be 88 on the 26th. He couldn't wait to sing happy birthday to them. So we did. And then he helped them blow out their candles!
This isn't the greatest picture, but I know we don't have a lot of time left with my grandpa and love these 4 generations pictures. I love him so much! He is such an amazing man! So is my father. I hope that I can live up to their legacy's!!! (Yeah, I know Hema isn't wearing a shirt - he really likes to take it off!)
