Our Little April Fools!

I know this post is a little late, but we just got our computer back from getting a little tune up!! It is running much better! Yeah!!
I wanted to do some fun April Fools Day pranks for our kids, but I put off looking for ideas on the Internet and then our computer was getting fixed, so this was what I came up with.
I got this bread over at the Lehi Bakery. It looked like regular white bread on the outside, but the kids loved how colorful it was on the inside!

I saw this idea in Family Fun magazine. Little Hema loved it and it totally tricked little Hema. He was so upset that we put peas on his plate. He loves most veggies, but hates peas. Hema told him he had to eat all of the peas on his plate....

... after lots of coaxing, he finally tried one and LOVED them! Of course, they are made out of Laffy Taffy. It was pretty funny! What fun things did your family do for April Fools Day??

I saw the idea in Family Fun magazine. You just cut the taffy into small pieces and roll it up. I had to cut mine into pieces and then microwave them for 4 seconds becuase it was fairly hard.

Becky call me before the next holiday... Easter, and tell me what your plan is- because your ideas are so cute!! Why didn't I think of playing April Fools jokes on my kids!! I am gonna have to set a reminder on my phone to remind me for next year- or I'd never remember!!

too funny....the day just kinda passed us by this year...although, in the past I have had one huge great prank that was a major success, someday I will blog it!

My aunt used to always pull a prank on my uncle in his lunch on April Fools, all kinds of stuff...one year she didn't do anything in his lunch and he came home asking everyone if she had remembered what day it was and all kinds of stuff. Little did he know that she DID know very well what day it was and DID have something very special planned for him...they had deviled eggs as part of dinner and he had a habit of just popping the whole piece into his mouth...only to find out that she had arranged for his to have nothing but horseradish in it!

My sister in 2nd grade did NOT get along with her teacher AT ALL and she tried to sneak out the door, but mom knew something was up, finally figured out that my sister had a bag of oreos that she was taking to give to her teacher...only one thing, she had scraped out the yummy cream and replaced it with toothpaste!!!

fun times...

Cute idea! Our April Fool's joke was photo-shopping a picture of the baby onto his brother and announcing the baby could walk. The grandmas both believed it, but no one else did.
