Today was Little Hema's last flag football game for this year. It started out cold and then poured rain! This picture is terrible because it was raining hard and my camera was already wet.... but Little Hema is standing right in front of Hema with his head under his shirt trying to stay dry. How funny is it that Hema is wearing flip flops, shorts and a short sleeved shirt!?!?
And here is one more shot of the game. Little Hema is in the purple shirt and red pants.
Super junky weather for watching football with a 3 year old and 4 month old. The best part was that I had my umbrella in my bag and didn't find it until I was heading to the car... nice! Kim and Krychele came down and cheered Hema on which was so nice. Especially given the bad weather. Afterwards we all headed over to Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur Museum. It was so much fun to go with Kim, Krychele and Desi...and I'd love to show you all the great pictures, but my camera got wet at the football game and wouldn't work. So we have no dino pictures...but it is dry now and working again. What do you do?
Little Hema has loved playing football this year. His favorite game was when he scored a touchdown a couple weeks ago and grandma and grandpa Hawkins were there to see it. He loved practicing with his dad and meeting all the new kids. During a few of the games he mostly goofed off or was distracted, but I think that is normal for a 5 year old. All in all it was a really fun experience! Next year he'll be old enough to play tackle football and he is dying to...we'll see.

Why don't we live closer? There is nothing more fun than watching kids play sports. I love that Hema is coaching... what a fun dad!
