Hogle Zoo

This morning Hema was on his way out the door to work when Little Hema said, "Can't we just got to the zoo today?' We looked at each other and thought why not. So he quickly changed out of his work clothes and we packed up and headed off the Hogle Zoo. It was a perfect day at the zoo because it was overcast. We kept thinking it was going to start raining hard - but never did. The animals were all out and active and it was so much fun. We bought a pass a while back and need to go more often!
Hema and Vela checking out a huge cockroach! Reminded me of my mission in Brazil!
Hema and dad with the mandril. I think that is what it was - looks like a baboon to me!
Got to get a shot with the rhino.
And the lion fountain.
Me and Cora.
Our family as we were leaving. Vela was knocked out!

The other day this is how Vela came down in the morning. I said you need to get dressed. She said "Vela is dressed. Vela is a princess!" I guess it is time to invest in some princess dresses!
Notice the rings and earrings!

On Tuesday night we went over to Krychele's and met some more of her cute cousins. They were all so excited to see and hold Cora! Her Aunt Liz was there too, but somehow we didn't get a picture of her.
