Katoa Family BBQ & Fireworks

Saturday we had a baby shower for La'a. Her sweet baby boy Sione is 1 week younger than Cora.
Since the 4th of July fell on Sunday this year, the fireworks at Thanksgiving Point were on Saturday night. We had a BBQ and watched the fireworks from our front yard. It was really windy and a little chilly - but we had a great time anyway. The kids liked the fireworks that Hema set off (mostly fountains) more than the ones at Thanksgiving Point!
There was plenty of food!
Hema, his dad and brothers Joe and John BBQing.
Some of the kids playing.
We pulled out a lot of blankets to watch the fireworks - since it was so cold.

Tina and Joe
Lepeka and Ituala (And Cora in the carseat!)
Mom and dad Katoa were freezing. They look like they are ready for a snow storm! They sure miss the warm island weather of Tonga!
Hema loved getting the kids excited as he lit our fireworks.
Vela loved running around in her pjs. (So the pictures are turned correctly in iphoto - just not in blogger? any ideas?)
Here's how Cora was during the fireworks. All bundled up in the car seat to keep her from the cold, loud sounds and bugs!
Lote, Vela, Sioti and Ava
Little Hema right before he fell asleep on the sleeping bag.
The group who stayed for the fireworks!
We had such a great time. Thanks to everyone who came!
