We love the 4th of July!! It is such a fun holiday and great time to celebrate our wonderful country! Having lived outside of the US, I really know how blessed we are to live here!
I also just love all the festivities associated with celebrating the 4th. Last night at nearly 10:00, I decided I wanted to make Vela another little outfit for today. I ran to Walmart (the only store that sells fabric and was open that late) and grabbed my supplies.
I think it turned out pretty cute!! I added the star to a tank top she already had here. Total out of pocket under $6! I realize that I can't make only this skirt every time even though it is super easy and cute. I have some other patterns ready to try out, but didn't want to have to figure them out last night late.
Vela seems to LOVE the new outfit!
Here are the kids practicing cheering for the fireworks and parade (which we may or may not make it to).

That is so adorable! I want a daughter because the clothes are so cute. I made my niece some dresses out of t-shirts when she was little; they were so fun and easy.
