Water Fun!! (and the Lehi Roundup Parade)

Now that the weather is finally warmer, we've been enjoying the water! The kids are loving their swimming lessons!! Here are a couple video clips from lessons today.

Here is Hema doing a torpedo (basically swimming under water across the whole pool). He loves swimming under water because that is what his daddy does. I can't even do that! Not bad for a 3 year old!!

Here is Vela doing a short swim to the wall. I love this video because she decides to roll over and breathe and then rolls right back over and grabs the wall! It was a big deal getting her to the point where she knew how to roll! So cute!! She would swim all day every day of we let her!

Then later today we took the boat out for the first time this year. I use the term boat pretty liberally... it is our 16 foot aluminum boat. We have so much fun on it and the kids can't get enough of it. We headed up to Jordanelle. We caught this nice small mouth in the first few minutes we were there. Both Hemas are smiling big because I actually caught this fish not them! They posed with it and then the camera battery died. Oh well!

After we had been out on the water for about 45 minutes, a big thunderstorm rolled in. So we packed up and headed out just as it started to pour. On the way home it cleared up so we stopped at Deer Creek and headed back out on the boat and fished for another few hours. We can't wait to go out again.

There is the boat!! It doesn't look like much but we did tow in a boat that a guy told us he had just bought for $35,000 and it broke down! I wish I had taken a picture of that!

Last Saturday, our ward had a float in the Lehi Parade. The theme was If I could I Would... and our ward did...Go To The Beach. There was a cool sand castle on the float that Little Hema sat and played in the whole time.
I'm not sure Hema even knew the parade was going on. He rarely gets to play in sand, due to how much his hair attracts it!
Hema and I walked and pulled Vela in the wagon. She loved it and kept waving and saying hi to everyone!
Afterwards, we went to the carnival at the park and let the kids do some of the bouncy things. They had a lot of fun, but seriously everything was only 25 cents and so the lines were crazy long!
Here is Vela and my friend Mariah's little girl Georgia. She is such a cutie! She is a month older than Vela.

We are certainly loving having Hema home! Tomorrow I am going to lunch with Katie (Hema's birth mom), Friday we plan to go boating and then to the Freedom Festival in Provo and Saturday we are having family over for a BBQ and then we'll watch the fireworks!
