Last night we took the kids to see Disney on Ice. We have never been before. Me and the kids rode Trax up and met Hema there. The kids love to ride the train.
The show was great. It had Cars, Little Mermaid, Lion King and Tinkerbell. The way they did some of the costumes was pretty cool.
Of course you can see everything well - but can't get a decent picture in there!

Little Hema was pleased that there weren't too many princesses and that no one was kissing. He was a bit nervous about the show since "princesses always want boys to kiss them and it is disgusting." I'm not sure where he is getting that from since the only movie we own with a princess is Beauty and the Beast and we rarely watch it. But I am glad he isn't too interested in princesses or kissing and hope he stays that way until he is 21 and home from a mission!
The show was great and the kids absolutely loved it - but the highlight of the night for me was watching my husband teach my kids about service. I know he wouldn't want me to write this - but I'm writing it anyhow. We noticed a large group of Sister Missionaries sitting up behind us. Maybe 20 of them. Of course everyone around us was eating the expensive snacks except the missionaries. Hema got up and went and bought 3 really big bags of kettle corn and had the kids take them up to the missionaries. He is always doing stuff like this. Not just for missionaries (although he really does go out of his way for them), but also for elderly people, homeless or really anyone he sees who he might be able to help in some way. He just quietly serves and then goes on his way without people around him noticing. But I notice and my kids notice and I hope they grow up to be more like him than me!

He is a wonderful example and father and husband! Love you babe!!
